Removing an Employee
This article is for shift supervisors, managers and business administrators.
This feature is available on desktop and tablet.
It's important to distinguish between:
1. Blocking an employee's access to the system
2. Deleting an employee from the system
1. Blocking access to the system
By blocking an employee from the system, when they log in again they are brought to a special page and they have no access to the Schedule, Team, Locations or any of the usual functions of the app (although they retain access to their My Profile page). The employee's data and previously planned shifts are however maintained on the system, should the employee's profile need to be reactivated.
To block access, choose Team from the main navigation menu, click "Switch to Employee" for the required employee. Under PERSONAL DATA AND ACCESS deselect the active employee box. Save your changes.
2. Deleting an employee
When you delete an employee, all their data is erased from the system. Deletion cannot be undone. If, when the employee profile was being initiated, the employee accepted the invitation email and registered themselves, they will retain login access to their My Profile page.
To delete an employee from the system, choose Team from the main navigation menu, click "Switch to employee" for the required employee. Scrolling to the bottom of the page, you find the "Delete employee" button. To prevent accidental deletion, several confirmation prompts are required. After reviewing employee data, type "Remove" and click on the red button. This will delete all business related data for this employee.
