Sharing a public file
QR Access allows you to share a public document using a QR code or a direct web link. The feature is designed for simple public access scenarios such as:
- Restaurant menus
- Information sheets
- Safety instructions
- Visitor notices
- Public announcements
Employees and visitors can scan the QR code with their phone or open the direct link in a browser to instantly access the selected file.
Supported file types and limits
QR Access supports images and PDF files with a maximum file size of 1 MB per file. The feature is optimized for lightweight, fast-loading public documents.
How QR Access works
Each organization receives one unique QR code and one unique public URL. Both always point to the currently selected public document. Shift administrators can upload multiple files to the QR Access section, but only one file can be marked as public at a time.
When the public file is changed:
- The QR code stays the same
- The public URL stays the same
- Only the displayed document changes
This makes it easy to update menus, notices or instructions without needing to reprint the QR code.
Managing QR Access files
Only shift administrators can manage QR Access documents. Shift administrators can upload files, replace files, select which file is public, delete files and download the QR code.
Downloading and printing the QR code
The QR code can be downloaded in SVG format and PNG format. This allows the code to be:
- Printed on posters or stickers
- Placed on restaurant tables
- Displayed at entrances or reception areas
- Included in printed materials
SVG format is recommended for high-quality printing and scaling.
Public access
Unlike the Document Library, QR Access files are intentionally public. Anyone with the QR code or the direct public link can open the currently selected document without logging into TeamUltim.
Because of this, QR Access should only be used for files intended for public viewing.
