Draft Shifts and Published Shifts

This article is for shift supervisors, managers and business administrators.
This feature is available on desktop and tablet.

Draft shifts

Newly saved shifts are by default in "draft mode". Meaning, when you set up shifts, they are still only visible to shift supervisors or admins.
In schedule view, they appear in white with a small border around the starting time of the shift.

The next step outlines how you can publish the new shift(s).

Publish shifts

Use the Publish button at the top of the screen.
The notifications window displays the locations for which you have planned new shifts.
This means you do not need to publish every new shift you have set up individually but you can publish several draft shifts all in one go.
If you only want to publish the new shifts for a certain location, untick the unwanted locations before you publish the changes.

There is one more step to do: Notify your employees.

This button is displayed right after you have published the new schedule(s).
If you use this option, employees who have registered with an email address will receive a notification email about their new schedule(s).

In schedule view, the starting times for published shifts appear in a fully grey field.

=> After publishing a schedule, all shifts within that schedule will be visible to the relevant employee(s).
